We offer a range of Quooker boiling water tap installation and maintenance services and recommend connecting your Quooker to a protective limescale reducing filter. The filter works to keep the tank, tap, aerator nozzle and internal heat element lime scale free but also to give you better tasting beverages.
What is involved in ‘Quooker maintenance’?
If you live in an area that is free from scale you may get away with just using the Quookers internal HiTAC® filter.
However, much of the UK’s mains water has higher than average calcium content and in these areas your Quooker will require frequent servicing or a further external filter for example an Omnipure or a Claris from Everpure.
And what about lime scale?
After 2 or 3 years of use your Quooker boiling water tap will start to show the signs of lime-scale build-up on the following elements:
- Inside the tank
- On the tap
- And inside the pressure relieve valve
To avoid lime scale corrosion and help look after your Quooker, i.e. Quooker maintenance, we typically connect your boiling water tap to a commercial grade filter, the Everpure Claris Water Filter which will also connect to your mains water to give you the extra convenience of having filtered water on tap.
