Press release: Everpure® Launches Claris Water Technology System. As installed by First Class Water Ltd
Leading Water Filtration Expert Introduces Family of Water Filter Cartridges | Specifically Designed for Hot Drink Machines
In order to provide assistance to the expanding specialty coffee industry, Everpure has introduced the Claris Water Technology system, a family of water filter cartridges specifically designed for hot drink machines. These new, innovative cartridges help reduce lime scale and harmful contaminants which affects water taste and odor, ultimately affecting the quality of the brewed coffee, espresso, tea and other hot drinks.
Minerals found in tap water can be both a friend and a foe to baristas and chefs. For boilerless and combine steam cooking, water must retain only enough minerals to allow the probes in the pans and boilers to detect the water levels. If the minerals are not controlled or removed, scale will accumulate on heating rods and hot plates. For specialty coffee, a certain amount of hardness in the water is necessary for a pleasant flavor and proper extraction of the coffee bean and grind. However, the mineral in water can also lead to lime scale, which can cause serious problems for brewing equipment. The challenge becomes to find a balance between protecting an operation’s brewing investment and capturing the desired taste and aroma of its coffee and espresso beverage.
The new Everpure Claris Water Technology System is a highly engineered water conditioning system that provides water filtration and tailored hardness in one compact package to help operators find the right balance and capture the desired taste they’re looking for. The system provides:
- Five Stage Filtration
- Superior DuoBlend Technology for customized water
- MultiValve Head with AutoShut off
- Quick change cartridges
- One head fits all cartridges
“Unlike reverse osmosis systems which strip all contaminants from the water, and traditional softening which does not provide filtration or allow for blending, the Claris system features DUOBLEND bypass valve technology that provides consistent and precise adjustment of carbonate hardness resulting in the right balance of minerals in the water,” says Roy Parker, marketing manager of Everpure.
“In addition, Claris provides a 5-step filtration process that removes unwanted particles, tastes and odors. The DUOBLEND along with filtration for taste and odor combine to provide operators the ideal premium water for specialty coffee and steam applications.
The Everpure Claris system sets a new standard for filters by providing consistent performance and premium tailored water for hot beverages along with exceptional protection for an operation’s brewing and steam equipment, all at an affordable price. In addition, the quick change cartridge makes maintenance and replacement easier while the same size head for all cartridges makes upgrading to a larger filter hassle-free.
